So they called their most trusted babysitter.

When the babysitter arrived,the two children were already fast asleep in bed.

So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children.

Later at night,the babysitter got bored and went to watch tv

but she couldn't watch it downstairs because they didnt have cable downstairs

(the parents didn't want the children watching too much garbage).

So she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parents' room.

Of course the parents said it was ok,

but the babysitter had one final request.

She asked if she could cover up the clown satue in their bedroom

with a blanket or cloth,because it made her nervous.

The phoneline was silent for a moment,

(and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time)

said....take the children and get out of the house....

1904年，李四光因学习成绩优异被选派到日本留学。他在日本接受了革命思想，成为孙中山领导的同盟会中年龄最小的会员。孙中山赞赏李四光的志向：“你年纪这样小就要革命，很好，有志气。”还送给他八个字：“努力向学，蔚为国用。”

1910年，李四光从日本学成回国。武昌起义后，他被委任为湖北军政府理财部参议，后又当选为实业部部长。袁世凯上台后，革命党人受到排挤，李四光再次离开祖国，到英国伯明翰大学学习。1918年，获得硕士学位的李四光决意回国效力。途中，为了解十月革命后的俄国，还特地取道莫斯科。

从1920年起，李四光担任北京大学地质系教授、系主任，1928年又到南京担任中央研究院地质研究所所长，后当选为中国地质学会会长。他带领学生和研究人员常年奔波野外，跋山涉水，足迹遍布祖国的山川。他先后数次赴欧美讲学、参加学术会议和考察地质构造。

1949年秋，新中国成立在即，正在国外的李四光被邀请担任政协委员。得到这个消息后，他立即做好了回国准备。这时，伦敦的一位朋友打来电话，告诉他国民党政府驻英大使已接到密令，要他公开发表声明拒绝接受政协委员职务，否则就要被扣留。李四光当机立断，只身离开伦敦来到法国。两星期之后，李夫人许淑彬接到李四光来信，说他已到了瑞士与德国交界的巴塞尔。夫妇二人在巴塞尔买了从意大利开往香港的船票，于1949年12月启程秘密回国。

回到新中国怀抱的李四光被委以重任，先后担任了地质部部长、中国科学院副院长、全国科联主席、全国政协副主席等职。他虽然年事已高，仍奋战在科学研究和国家建设的第一线，为我国的地质、石油勘探和建设事业做出了巨大贡献。1958年，李四光由何长工、张劲夫介绍加入了中国共产党，由一个民族民主主义者成为共产主义战士。60年代以后，李四光因过度劳累身体越来越差，还是以巨大的热情和精力投入到地震预测、预报以及地热的利用等工作中去。1971年4月29日，李四光因病逝世，享年82岁。
